Covid-19 Update: Carleton Hall is closed to all activities due to Covid-19 and will remain closed until further notice
Available for hire…
Carleton Hall is the community centre for Marino and is owned and managed by the Marino Residents’ Association.
The original hall was built in 1939 by Marino Tenants’ Association, and was used for meetings, dances, drama, and social events. It was demolished and a new hall was built in 2000.
The hall is available for hire between the hours of 10am and 10pm, seven days a week, subject to conditions. Special arrangements for certain types of bookings may allow the hall to be open later into the evening.
Pyrite has been a problem with the hall since it was built. Repair works are scheduled for June 2020 and the hall is expected to be closed for three to five months (see document below).
A number of regular classes and activities take place in Carleton Hall on a weekly basis including dance, breast-feeding support, active retirement and yoga. See 2020 activities here.
There is a large committee room upstairs in Carleton Hall. This can be used for meetings, events or classes.
The main hall is 45 ft x 28 ft and comprises of a wooden-floored hall with stage area. Seating is available for large meetings. The premises have a maximum capacity of 120 people.
