Carleton Hall is the community centre for Marino and is owned and managed by the Marino Residents’ Association. It is located at 53a Shelmartin Avenue (D03 X684).

The original hall was built in 1939 by Marino Tenants’ Association, and was used for meetings, dances, drama, and social events. It was demolished and a new hall was built in 2000.

The hall is available for hire between the hours of 10am and 10pm, seven days a week, subject to conditions. Special arrangements for certain types of bookings may allow the hall to be open later into the evening.

Activities

A number of regular classes and activities take place in Carleton Hall on a weekly basis including zumba, breast-feeding support, active retirement, yoga and pilates. See 2024 activities here.

Committee Room

There is a large committee room upstairs in Carleton Hall. This can be used for meetings, events or classes.

Main Hall

The main hall is 45 ft x 28 ft and comprises of a wooden-floored hall with stage area. Seating is available for large meetings. The premises have a maximum capacity of 120 people.
